Dovi Goes Fishing
Dovi joins Daddy Povi for a cheerful fishing trip down the river. Along the way, he meets a friendly crocodile, catches a playful yellow pufferfish and discovers that the best part of an adventure is sharing it with someone you love.
A Special Morning
One bright morning, Dovi wakes up ready for a new adventure. Outside his cozy home, a little bird named Hulo chirps a cheerful greeting. Dovi hurries downstairs to see Momy, excited about the special day ahead. Today, he is going fishing with his daddy, Povi!
A Little Fishing Hat
By the river, Povi is waiting beside a little boat. The water sparkles in the sunlight, and the gentle breeze rustles the leaves along the bank. Dovi climbs aboard, and Povi carefully rows them away from shore. Before they travel farther, Povi takes off his favorite fishing hat and places it on Dovi's head. It is a little big, but Dovi wears it proudly. Now he looks just like a real fisherman!
Hello, Crocodile!
As the boat glides along the river, Dovi watches the wonderful world around him. Suddenly, a friendly crocodile appears near the water. “Hello, little friend!” it says. “Hello!” Dovi replies. What a surprising new friend to meet on a fishing trip!
A Splashy Surprise
Soon it is time to fish. Dovi holds the fishing rod while Povi stays close to help. They wait patiently, watching the water. Then something tugs on the line! With Daddy's help, Dovi pulls up a round, bright yellow pufferfish. The funny little fish has a surprise of its own: it squirts water right at Dovi! Dovi and Povi burst into laughter.
The fish is not theirs to keep. Povi gently returns it to the river, where it can swim freely again. “Bye-bye!” says the little fish as it disappears into the sparkling water.
A Happy Memory
With a wonderful story to tell Momy, Dovi and Povi begin rowing home. The boat drifts peacefully down the river, and Dovi smiles beneath his big fishing hat. He did not bring home a fish, but he found something even better: a happy memory with Daddy and a new little friend in the river.
